Bowflex treadmills are made by Nautilus who have a reputation for making top quality, reliable fitness equipment since the 1970s. The Bowflex treadmills have already proved themselves to be a popular choice in the very competitive mid-price range market (£950 – £1,250).

Aimed at the home treadmill user, the Bowflex models are folding to save space, sleek and attractive in appearance and easy to operate. Built-in wheels also make move the machine around much easier than some other models – very important if your space is limited. Good cooling systems also make this a good choice for small rooms.

Whilst some models in this price-range may have more powerful motors, Bowflex models do have features that you might not find on others such as built-in programmes and heart rate monitors. Bowflex treadmills come with a very useful warranty which covers the frame for 15 years, motor for 10 years, parts/electronics for 2 years and labour for 1 year – do check the details with the retailer before buying.

Some users felt the motors were a bit on the noisy side and other manufacturers will offer slightly better warranties. However, Bowflex has built up a good name for itself and won ‘Best Buy Treadmill’ by a number of consumer publications so they must be doing something right.

This is a highly competitive market at this price range so do compare other brands before deciding on a Bowflex.
