The Bremshey Treadline Control treadmill (2009 model) is up against some stiff competition in the mid-price range bracket - does it offer anything to stand out?
It does contain some good features, such as 12 pre-set programmes including manual run, hill walk, hill jog, hill run, interval, rolling hills, hill climb, challenge, heart rate control/ weight loss. Plus it also has the capacity for 3 manual programmes that you can tailor for your own requirements.
A powerful 3hp motor delivers a top speed of 12.4mph which is one of the highest on all treadmills for under £2,000! However, this should not be the sole reason for choosing this machine as the majority of runners will find 10mph quite sufficient.
The display unit is easy to use but dull in comparison with other machines for a similar price - see below.
Our reviewers liked the motorised incline function with 10 buttons to change from 0 to 12% incline which should be more than enough to challenge most users. The heart rate controlled programmes were also popular although it's better to use with a chest strap (not included).
It was fairly easy to fold up and move for storage when not in use.
It comes with a 15 year warranty on the frame and 2 year on site parts and labour. Bremshey mills are made by Accell who also make Tunturi so you can expect it to be reliable.

Pros and Cons Reviewers Ratings
In brief: The Bremshey Treadline Control is a competent machine with enough variation in programmes, speeds and inclines to challenge all but the elite runners. However, it's a bit dull when compared to some machines costing a few hundred pounds less - see our comparison table. In its defence you wouldn't be disappointed if you bought this machine as it has some good features in its favour including the heart rate controlled programmes.
