Nautilus T516 LE-X Treadmill Review

The Nautilus T516 LE-X treadmill is a machine for those serious about their fitness with a serious amount of money to spend. At a shade under £2,000 it is also up against some serious competition, namely Life Fitness and the top of the range models Tunturi has to offer.

When you buy Nautilus you know you’re getting a quality machine with some cutting edge technology. The T516 offers the best value for money from their range benefiting from REACTTM Absorbing Control Technology, or in English, a cushioned running surface that adjusts its sponginess according to your weight. This reduces the stress your joints experience when running and allows you to run further and longer than road-running. The fact that it adjusts to your weight is a huge benefit. Other shock absorbing systems that don’t have this function can often feel too bouncy for the lighter to average weight runner.

Nautilus use SuperSoftTM running belts, although it sounds like a toilet roll rest assured it’s three times the thickness of many competitors’ belts and ensures durability and running comfort.   The Nautilus T516 is powered by a 3.0 HP HyperdriveTM motor, our reviewers loved the smooth and quiet operation and felt it could keep going all day.

A big favourite with our reviewers were the two heart rate control programmes. The programme monitors your heart rate via the wireless chest strap (grips also included) and adjusts the speed of the belt to keep you within a pre-set range. This keeps you in the fat burning zone and is great for increasing your fitness levels. With 12 pre-set and 3 manual programmes, top speed of 12mph and a maximum incline of an energy-sapping 15%, the T516 has enough to keep you challenged for years to come.   Quality machines come with excellent warranties and Nautilus is no exception. The frame has lifetime cover, whilst the motor, electronics and parts are covered for 10 years, and on-site parts and labour for 1 year.   Please note: this is a non-folding machine so you will need to have the space (see dimensions below) to house this machine in a permanent position.
