Reebok 7 Series Treadmill Review

The Reebok 7 Series treadmill is one of the top of the range home models from Reebok. With a price tag of just over £1,000 it’s up against some pretty serious competition such as the Bowflex 7 Series treadmill and the Tunturi T60.

So how does it compare to its rivals? Well, we think very well and then a bit more!

Whilst the Reebok 7 Series can’t match the top speed of the above machines, its maximum speed of 10mph at a whopping incline of 15% (way higher than the Tunturi and Bowflex) will challenge any runner’s legs. In our view 10mph is more than enough for most treadmill runners anyway.

Its 3HP motor almost purrs in operation and is one of the quietest we’ve found at 10mph – a big plus fo a home machine, although it has to be said that the deck size is small compared to many of its competitors so the motor doesn’t have so much belt to shift – one of the few let downs of this model.

We all had fun with the new Auto Motion Control System. The machines has motion sensors built into the console that detects specific hand movements to increase, decrease or stop the belt. If you wave your left hand over the left sensor the speed increases by 0.5 mph, use your right hand over the right sensor to slow down – both hands over both sensors stops the treadmill. Very Star Wars!

The machine has a good, solid feel under the feet even at top speeds and we also liked the long handles which are angled slightly away from the belt – so no danger of banging into them whilst running.

The display – is easier to use and read than its main rivals. The Reebok 7 Series has a good selection of training programmes to keep you motivated including heart rate control to keep you in the fat burning running zone – a chest strap and wireless monitoring of your pulse is included.

The two year parts and labour on-site warranty is about average for a machine of this price.

Review Summary - In Brief

The Reebok 7 Series treadmill looks great, sounds great and has some pretty useful functions. Its motorised folding mechanism is one of the smoothest and easiest we've come across and adds to the quality feel of this machine. Our only disappointment was the small running deck but that doesn't stop us giving it a big thumbs up! A great machine from a reputable fitness company.
