The Tunturi T20 treadmill is a competent, if a little bland, machine. Tunturi don't do style in our view, but they do make quality equipment!
The T20 may not compare in looks to its main rivals such as the Bowflex 5 Series (a real beauty!) but it certainly doesn't lag behind in quality.
Which Magazine has voted the T20 a "BEST BUY" so it's obviously got something going for it. It does have a good range of programmes including a heart rate controlled one to keep you in the fat-burning zone - although you need to pay extra for a chest strap for wireless pulse monitoring.
Note that both the Bowflex 5 Series and the Bremshey Control have this function for the same price.
Our reviewers liked the feel and size of the running deck, Tunturi's T-FlexTM shock absorbing system is very effective at taking the jolts out of your joints when running. The machine was rock solid even at top speeds - some brands have a tendency to wobble.
The 2.5 HP motor is smooth and quiet in operation and more than up to the task of shifting the large belt at speeds of up to 10mph - high for most runners. Our users also like the ability to control the speed and incline levels using the handlebars, although one felt they could have been a bit longer.
The console was easy to use and the display good although a bit clinical.
It comes with a 15 year warrenty on the frame and a two year on site warranty on parts and labour which is very good for a machine under £1,000.

The Tunturi T20 is no doubt a quality machine with enough features and variation for most runners to be challenged and motivated. Yes it does look a bit dull compared to its rivals but that shouldn't put you off as we rate it slightly ahead on points of the competition. It's a good, safe bet buying Tunturi and the T20 is no exception, and now you can get it for just £935 it's very good value for money!
