Vision T9450 Treadmill Review

The Vision T9450 treadmillis a cracker in our view. It packs an awful lot into a compact package and easily delivers what it promises.

Vision offer this model with three different consoles. The one we’ve tried is the all-singing, all-dancing Premier console and in our view it’s best to go either for this version of the Simple console at £200 less.

If you love pre-set programmes and/ or designing your own, the Premier console lets you do all that. It has a great set of programmes that will get you fit, including Vision’s Sprint 8 workouts – more later.

If you don’t like the frills and prefer a basic no-nonsense treadmill the Simple console will just show you what’s happening and won’t distract you in any other way. The one in the middle, the Deluxe console, is neither one thing or the other and we think you may as well go for the basic or spend the extra for the top model.

Coming back to the treadmill itself, we found the 4.4mm orthopaedic belt to be very comfortable which is what you’d expect for the cost. The running deck is a fraction shorter than most in this price range but it compensates for this with its width so you get the impression of plenty of space even at top speed.

The Premier console is excellent. It has one-touch buttons for incline and speed and tells you all you need to know with it’s large LED display windows. The pre-set programmes are well designed and include Vision’s new Sprint 8 workouts – ‘the perfect fitness solution’ – their own words. These are a set of 20 minute anaerobic sessions designed to ‘reduce body fat, improve muscle tone, speed and performance’. It’s very easy to use and they certainly put you through your paces!

There are 4 heart-rate controlled programmes and you can either use the hand grips or use the chest strap that comes with it. The strap is the better option as it’s much more accurate and you don’t have to interupt your stride as the Polar chip in the console will display the reading second by second.

The 2.5HP motor runs like a dream and easily coped with the 15 stone chap we had pounding away on it at 12mph!

The folding mechanism is very smooth and light to operate and when folded it’s quite compact and could be easily moved and stored out of the way.

The Vision T9450 comes with an excellent warranty with lifetime on the frame AND motor, plus 5 years parts and 3 years on site labour. Peace of mind guaranteed in our view!
