NordicTrack T 6.5 S Treadmill Review
We have not yet had the opportunity to properly review the NordicTrack T 6.5 S Treadmill, but hope to be able to very soon.
The current NordicTrack treadmill catalogue carries a good number of different treadmills ranging from mid-priced machines to top-end premium models that are considered by many to be the cream of the crop when it comes to domestic running machines. Having looked at a number of NordicTrack’s latest high-end models recently, we wanted to see what a more restrained budget will get you from their current crop of treads. So, we got our hands on a NordicTrack T6.5s to find out what it’s got to offer for a price tag that’s comfortably less than a thousand pounds.
Like all NordicTrack treadmills, and indeed most (though not all) other treadmill models, the T 6.5s comes flat packed and needs to be assembled. The first challenge is getting to this treadmill through all the packaging so you can start putting it together. But, once you’ve got all the components laid out and the treadmill unwrapped, following the instructions is easy enough and with two people it took us just over 40 minutes to complete the build. Yes, there are a few steps that could probably have been done in production, such as fitting the horizontal bar that the hydraulic piston for raising and lowering the deck safely attaches to, but overall there’s nothing here that’s particularly awkward or annoying.
This is a very classical NordicTrack treadmill in terms of its looks. The T 6.5s has quite an industrial sort of look with various different shades of grey and silver dominating the machine from top to toe, with a small splash of orange thrown in to break it up. It’s unlikely to win any design awards on the aesthetic front but this is, of course, very much a functional treadmill that’s been designed to do a job and the overall look here is very much no-nonsense. With a footprint of 185cm x 91cm (72.8” x35.8”) it’s on the chunkier side without being overbearingly large and should fit into a wide range of settings without too much trouble.
