DKN T830 Treadmill Review

Best UK Price              Specification              Pros and Cons              Reviewers Ratings

DKN T830 Treadmill review The DKN T830 certainly is a beast of a machine. With its large motor and raft of programme functionality, topped off with a cracking running deck its one to add to the wish list.

The 2.5HP motor delivers smooth and consistent power throughout the range of speed and incline settings and we found it to be one of the quieter machines we have reviewed recently.

So let's give you more details.

With the DKN T830 you get a large range of programmes. There are 23 for you here, with 15 pre-programmed, 3 that you can set up yourself and another 3 that are heat rate controlled. If this is enough for you (we know, that should be plenty!) then you can always stick it on manual. The hot keys for incline and speed make this a doddle with incline on the left and speed on the right. You also get buttons on the side rails to adjust the speed and incline. We thought this would be useful for those who are less confident using treadmills

Going back to the heart rate control functionality, you can use the built in pulse grip sensors, or if you have a compatible chest belt then it will work nicely with that too. As you may know working in the correct heart rate zone is the most effective way to workout.

The dual screen display is nice and clear, we had no problems keeping tabs on our workout. It gives all the info you would expect, including speed, distance, elapsed time as well as theoretical calories burned and the heart rate. Oh and the pulse rate and laps. Don't worry though, its not a case of "information overload"

The machine has a top speed of 18kph and maximum incline of 12% and the maximum user weight is 110 kg /17.5 Stone.

We got the old ruler out and can confirm the belt is a whopping 3.3mm thick. Combine this with the DKN Progressive Shock Absorbing system deck and you have a treadmill that would not only be ideal for those who are recovering from injuries, but also anyone who wants to look after their joints.

A few more little extras complete the package.

If you like to work out to music you can plug in your mp3 player and listen through the built in speakers. Let's be frank -they will not replace your stereo but its a nice touch.

Its got a pair of cup holders, ideal for keeping your drink of choice at hand.

The DKN T830 also features a body fat test. A visitor tried this out and was surprised to be told that he had the body fat of a pork scratching. We joke of course, it's displayed in % format and although it is not to be taken as a medical measurement, it does tell you if you are going in the right direction. A boon for those who like to keep tabs on their progress.

Should anything go wrong (touch wood that it won't) The T830 comes with a 2 year warranty covering on site parts and labour. In the nicest way possible, we hope that you don't need to speak to DKN
