The Life Fitness T7-0 Treadmill is a home gym machine with commercial quality and reliability built-in. We've waited a long time to get our hands (and feet) onto this one and it was well worth the wait!
Before we even got on it we were impressed by its sleek and moden design. It really does look the business and we were just itching to get on.
And we certainly weren't disappointed when we did. It has an excellent 3.0 HP MagnaDrive motor that feels like it could go all day. The motor interacts with the console to adjust its power depending on your weight. So if you're a bit on the heavy side (and this machine will support a user of up to 28 stone) the motor increases power to keep the speed of the belt even when your foot lands on it.
The motor barely makes a noise and even at its top speed of 12mph it's quiet. This is a machine for the serious runner (or beginner who has ambition) and the combination of 12mph and a 15% motorised incline will challenge anyones legs.
The running deck has a superb feel to it. The FlexDeckTM shock absoprtion system can reduce the impact to your joints by up to 30%. An added benefit is you can adjust this to suit your tastes. Some like a hard road feel to the deck whilst others prefer a springier surface.
The console is very easy to use and displays everything you need to know about your session including time, pace, calories, incline level, distance, speed and heart rate - see below. It also has a smaller control pad situated on the pulse sensor handles with the most often used keys. This makes it even easier to adjust the settings whilst running at top speeds - a nice feature we thought.
The 18 pre-set programmes offer a wide variation of training sessions. This is an important factor in your training as the more varied the better as it will keep you motivated and work on all aspects of your fitness. It has all the usual suspects such as Hill, Manual, Resistance/Incline and Fat Burning.
The Fat Burning programme automatically controls the incline and speed of the belt to keep you heart rate at its optimum level based on your age. Whilst most machines on the market these days have heart rate monitors many users question the accuracy of the readings. Life Fitness has a digital system that can filter out noise that can lead to wrong readings and claim to be the most accurate available. Our separate tests confirm this. The console can also support 4 separate profiles so each user can monitor their own progress and design their own individual programmes.
Please note - the T7-0 is not a foldable treadmill, it's also very heavy so it's not easy to move around. Check you have the space before you buy!
The warranty is pretty extensive and really what you'd expect when paying this much for a treadmill. You get lifetime on the frame and shock absorbers on the deck, 15 years on the motor and 3 years parts and labour.

The Life Fitness T7-0 is an absolute dream to run on. Yes it's pricey but you really do get a top quality home machine that wouldn't look out of place in a gym. Life Fitness have thought of everything here to make it a top machine - you can even remove the cup holders for easier cleaning! If you're looking for a treadmill to last for years that will get your fitter than you've ever been in the comfort of your home, then this is the machine for you. It's difficult to recommend anything else as all the other machines we've tried to date don't come any where near to matching this one!

It's quite complicated to install - we recommend you get the retailer to install it for you.
The price tag is obviously going to put some people off but when you're paying serious money you get a very serious machine!
There's no fan - some like them others don't.
Otherwise we could find nothing else!
