Reebok Treadmills
"A well known name in fitness - but can they make treadmills?"

Reebok 7 Series treadmill Reebok treadmills are a popular choice for many simply because it's a well known brand in the fitness industry. If they can make good running shoes and apparel then surely their running machines must be worth a go?

Many gym goers will have used Reebok commercial models and bought their home models only to be disappointed - they were made under license by a different company. There have been a number of problems in the past with poor components and quality of the build.

However, the more recent models reviewed here are a much better machine. The manufacture of the machine parts are much improved and designs and functionality have come on in leaps and bounds.

Reebok now target a wide audience, starting with machines just about qualifying
as a budget model at £400 rising to over £4,000 in the quality, light commercial bracket.

The new iRun Reebok treadmill is the entry level machine for those on a budget and with limited space, in fact, they can fold completely flat and even slide under most beds when not in use! They may only have a top speed of 8mph and relatively low-powered 1.5hp motor but for many casual users this would be sufficient. And for around £400 you do get a great, very compact home machine with quite a number of features.

At the higher end of the Reebok treadmill range the models look very stylish, have a much improved performance with powerful 3hp motors and a sturdier feel. With many features and a good warranty - see below - they compare favourably with other brands of the same price.

A good indicator of how reliable a model is likely to be is the warranty on offer. Reebok models come with 'lifetime' cover on the frame, and a 2 year on-site parts and labour warranty which compares well with other manufacturer's warranties in the same price range. Do check with the retailer the details at time of purchase.

Buying a new model from Reebok is a pretty safe bet. You'll get a well-designed machine from a well-established company and get good value for your money.
